The Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce that the registration for the Virtual Online Teaching (VOLT) certificate program is now open. You can apply now at https://www.applyweb.com/upenng/index.ftl .
This certificate program will develop instructors grounded in educational theory who are experts in their content areas and also adept at harnessing technology to design and implement curricula. Instructors will be prepared to teach in both blended and fully online environments through a program structure that follows internationally recognized standards for teaching online. The program will delivered completely online, with synchronous and asynchronous meeting times and assignments. Students who complete the program and the required practicum will be eligible for Pennsylvania State Online Teaching Endorsement (Pending approval).
The 10 modules comprise 3 courses, which make it 3 credit units (continuing education credits that are transferable). Each course is $2000, and the certificate program is $6000. Scholarships are available. Please contact volt@gse.upenn.edu for more information or details. You can also visit our website at http://www.gse.upenn.edu/innovation/volt
