Join us for a conversation with Dr. Taffany Lim and Allen Burnett as they share insights from the book The Ripple Effects of College Prison Programs: Hope, Humanity, and Transformation.
The book explores the lives of thirteen formerly incarcerated students who defied the odds to become college graduates through California’s first in-person bachelor’s degree completion program offered inside a prison. Each story traces a journey through childhood trauma, incarceration, and the power of education to reshape identity and possibility. The webinar will include a discussion on how service learning classes and nonprofit organizations can support incarcerated and formerly incarcerated scholars.
