Join us on April 17 for an energizing, virtual faculty-to-faculty showcase highlighting innovative community-engaged teaching practices from across the California State University system.
At Purpose in Practice: Community-Engaged Teaching Across the Curriculum, you’ll hear directly from faculty who are integrating community-focused approaches across disciplines—from service-learning to broader models of community-engaged pedagogy.
In just 75 minutes, you’ll explore practical, adaptable strategies related to:
- Student wellbeing and belonging
- AI and social justice
- Community partnerships that advance civic learning and public impact
- Applied learning that strengthens career readiness
These examples highlight how community-engaged teaching can deepen student engagement while preparing students to address real-world challenges in their communities and future professions.
