Virtual Event: The State of Family and Economic Opportunity Policy – May 24
Posted by Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity on May 23, 2023
Please join Spotlight and its partners for a virtual bipartisan event on the State of Family Policy and Economic Opportunity. Members of the 118th Congress have demonstrated a commitment to exploring and implementing policies that benefit families and improve economic opportunity, including the expanded Child Tax Credit (CTC), increases to SNAP benefits, expansion of paid leave policies, and job training programs.
To further explore the current state of family and economic policy, Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity and American Policy Ventures, with support from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, will host a bipartisan discussion with key Hill staffers to explore shared policy priorities and set a foundation for a longer conversation on how policymakers can work together to improve the lives of American families.
This virtual event will be moderated by Kadia Goba of Semafor and will take place Wednesday, May 24 at 12:00 PM ET.
