Virtual Event: Immigrant Voices in Environmental Justice – Feb 26
Posted by Pennsylvania Immigrant Coalition on February 18, 2025
In 2025 the Pennsylvania Immigration Coalition is proud to partner with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection as one of 12 community organizations across the state participating in the Engaging New Voices on Environmental Justice program, which aims to ensure every community has equal access to environmental protections.
Join us for the first in a series of virtual presentations that provides immigrant communities with tools to address environmental issues locally. We’ll be joined by 350.org organizer Nico Udu-Gama, who works at the intersection of immigrant rights and environmental justice.
Simultaneous translation in Spanish will be provided.
The fight for immigrant rights is more urgent than ever. As we fight for the rights of our neighbors and loved ones in our communities, we must also prepare to protect the human right of migration in response to ongoing climate change. Join us in taking the first step to learning more about the crucial intersection of immigrant rights and environmental justice.
Date and Time: February 26, 2025, 2:00-3:00 PM
