Virtual Event: Creative Writing with Artist in Residence, Carlos José Pérez Sámano – Feb 17
Posted by Penn Museum on February 8, 2022
Join us as Penn Museum’s first artist in residence, Carlos José Pérez Sámano, discusses his partnering with local Latino community leaders to present free creative writing workshops. Learn about the work he’s done through the Penn museum and participate in a creative writing exercise. Carlos received his degree in creative writing and publishing from Rosemont College and has built his career as an independent writer since 2007. He believes that “The most important of all goals is to encourage folks to transcend without fear. To not be afraid of poetry, of other people’s opinions and criticism, of our past and history.”
Participants will receive 1 hour of Act 48 credit or a certificate upon request.
FREE to registered guests.
Date and Time: Thursday, February 17, 2022, 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
