Envisioning Partnership
The First Annual Conference of the
Virginia Tech Service-Learning Center
July 12th-14th
Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center

“Envisioning Partnership” is planned to be the first of an annual regional conference on university-community partnerships. Days one and two focus on negotiating and sustaining partnerships in the areas of community and economic development, environmental management and sustainability, and K-12 educational initiatives. Day three focuses on university-community research partnerships.
At this time, we are inviting proposals for:
90 minute workshops focusing on implementation, negotiation, or management of partnerships with an action-research or community-based research agenda;
Poster presentations featuring specific university-community research partnerships.
Presentation proposals may be sent electronically to Michele James-Deramo, deramo@vt.edu. Please include the following in the proposal:
Brief description (300 word maximum) of the presentation topic; Presentation format (Poster, small group discussion, powerpoint, other); Minimum / maximum number of participants (for workshop presentations); Contact information.
Proposals will be accepted through April 30th.
