The World Congress of Criminology has set aside 3 days for special attention to restoring safe school communities and responding to bullying, violence and alienation.
School officials, administrators and teachers are welcome to attend and participate.

Dan Olweus, of The HEMIL Center, Norway, to present on bullying
Eric Debarbieux, of the International Observatory of Violence in Schools, will be speaking on violence in schools in South America
Allison Payne and Denise Gottfredson will present on school based prevention programs in the US
? Learn from experts on school violence who are building programs and practices that address violence in school communities from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, England and Wales, Hong Kong, Scotland, and the USA.
? Attend a SCHOOL VIOLENCE PREVENTION WORKSHOP with Dr. Myrna Shure and Curry Bailey of the Philadelphia School District. This methods workshop will demonstrate a unique, problem solving approach to violence and drug-abuse prevention from the perspectives of both research and practice.
? Come and learn from these experts who are building the evidence of what it takes to address school violence and keep schools safe. Approaches include restorative practices, peer mediation, active listening, and circle time. See how to put these programs and practices together to develop a comprehensive approach.
Registration Fees
We are pleased to announce a discount for school representatives. Pay only $20/day (compared to the full conference fee of $375).
