Congreso is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and dedicated individual to become its new Vice President of Fundraising and External Affairs. The position reports to the President and works closely with the Board of Directors and other members of the executive team in setting the strategic directions to meet the organizational fundraising goals. The VP, Fundraising and External Affairs will set the direction and focus for fundraising strategies and manage corporate and foundation fundraising, major donor solicitation, planned giving, direct mail campaigns and special events. In addition, the Vice President is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing marketing strategies, maintaining the agency’s image and public relations and achieving the organizational mission.

Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Marketing, Public Policy or related field; or Bachelor’s degree in OD, Marketing, Public Policy with seven to ten years of progressive fundraising experience; a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in non-profit fundraising, marketing and planning. Experienced leader who has been a member of an executive management team, demonstrating excellent accountability, leadership, communication, mentoring, empowerment and resource management skills; proven ability to make effective and persuasive presentations; and conflict resolution and mediation skills necessary. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Latino Community a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
