The VP, Development will report to the CEO and will be directly responsible for fundraising for the $2M+ Shared Services budget, in addition to managing existing (and developing new) revenue streams and national partnerships to support organizational growth. They will work in collaboration with the CEO and CSO/COO to determine fundraising strategy and the funding model, both short and long term.
In addition they will play a ‘coach’ role to new and existing EDs in terms of fundraising ideas and practices at the local level. Further, the VP, Development will work with the Founder (previously CEO) to transition management of all national partnerships and sponsorships. The VP, Development will be supported by a Marketing & Corporate Relations Coordinator.
Specific Responsibilities of the VP, Development role will include:
•Responsible for generating revenue to cover (and grow) Shared Services budget ($2M+)
•Management and growth of existing national corporate donors
•Management and cultivation of new national corporate donors
•Development of new and innovative revenue streams (e.g. national race partnerships, national point of sale opportunities etc)
•Creation and execution of strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
•Collaborate with COO to determine approach to Foundation/Grant solicitations to increase revenue $$ generated from this funding stream
•Drafting and managing all National level Grant and Foundation submissions
•Developing and consistently improving upon Event Fundraising Strategies and implementation
•Developing and managing the consistency of the corporate sponsorships levels, corporate donor packet/materials etc
•Supporting the CEO and COO in development of plans to grow the organization financially and programmatically and improve ROI
•Supporting CEO in development of the National Board
•Providing coaching and guidance to Executive Directors in terms of local fundraising
•Developing and executing fundraising and development training for new and existing EDs
•Supporting COO in development of performance management process for EDs
•Supporting in the creation of an effective CRM
