VICE PRESIDENT FOR YOUTH BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

JEVS Human Services is a multifaceted, 21st century nonprofit that annually serves more than 24,000 people through 30 successful programs. JEVS provides vocational, educational, rehabilitation and employment services to help our region’s most vulnerable citizens participate productively in society to the fullest extent possible. Our mission is to enhance the employability, independence, and quality of life of individuals through a broad range of programs.

JEVS is launching an initiative to enrich and expand our array of youth-directed services. Our goal is to help youth reach their fullest potential – academically, in the workforce, and as self-sufficient, engaged citizens.  We are recruiting a Vice President for Youth Business Development to spearhead this initiative, create a unified approach to youth services, and develop strategic new programs using evidence-based and emerging best practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

–    Lead inter-departmental teams focused on developing organizational capacity in key aspects of youth programming including program design, evaluation, resource development, branding, etc.

–    Develop and execute a three-year growth plan that will: replicate JEVS’ existing successful youth programs, expand the number of youth we serve, increase public and private funding for JEVS youth-directed programming, improve formal evaluation of all JEVS youth programs, and develop strategic new programs that align with our mission and vision.

–    Develop key partnerships with local youth agencies and institutions, including the Philadelphia School District, DHS, DBHIDS, PHA as well as other key service providers and policy makers.

–    Cultivate relationships with key regional and national funders of youth services.

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in the education field. 5 years’ experience required.
•    Proven in-depth knowledge of and leadership experience in fundraising, program development and strategic planning in the Philadelphia youth arena.
•    Exceptional capacity to develop partnerships with community organizations and to communicate effectively with private donors.
•    Demonstrated experience in developing and replicating innovative programs is highly preferred.
