Widener offers workshop on vicarious trauma for social workers
The Widener University School of Social Work Alumni Board will sponsor a workshop on Vicarious Trauma and Burnout: The Ethics of Self-Care When Managing Clients in Crisis.
The presenters will be discussing the ways in which vicarious trauma impacts professional competency and personal well-being. The training will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary for identifying and preventing compassion fatigue and burnout.
The training will be held on Tuesday, January 20 from 6-9 p.m.at Lathem Hall on the Widener campus in Chester. Three CEUs will be available. The cost is $35 ($10 for current Widener students).
