VHA Health Foundation Seeks Proposals for Creating Better Health Through Innovation Program
Deadline: April 18, 2005 (Letter of Intent)
The VHA Health Foundation (<a href="http://www.vhahf.org/vhahf/">http://www.vhahf.org/vhahf/</a>) is challenging healthcare providers across the United States to submit their best, most innovative programs for funding consideration. Through its Creating Better Health Through Innovation grant program, the foundation seeks to encourage creativity, innovation, and the adoption and/or adaptation of new ideas and practices in the healthcare industry.
The foundation will award grants ranging from $100,000 to $250,000 to support promising initiatives at the local level that represent a novel and/or significantly better approach to solving a problem or need related to health
and/or healthcare. Programs selected for funding represent innovations that are beyond the concept stage; ready to implement, expand, or further refine; and are candidates for replication in other markets.
All U.S. nonprofit healthcare providers, including hospitals, healthcare systems, clinics, and medical practices, with tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status are eligible to apply. Programs representing local and national partnerships are encouraged to apply.
For detailed information about grant requirements and the application process, see the VHA Health Foundation Web site.
