National Service Task Force VISTA Leader, Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service
The National Service Task Force VISTA Leader will work with staff members from Philadelphia’s network of National Service Programs to convene a regular meeting of the National Service Task Force (NSTF) to increase communication and resource sharing among Philadelphia’s National Service programs, to build community and collaboration among members across Task Force programs, and to strengthen the pipeline to employment for all Philadelphia National Service Members. The VISTA Leader will provide leadership, direction and support to the NSTF and its working groups. You must have prior AmeriCorps VISTA or Peace Corps experience to apply
Financial Inclusion for New Americans VISTA, Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity (CEO)
The Financial Inclusion for New Americans (FINA) project will increase financial security within immigrant and refugee communities. Every year, thousands of immigrants settle in Philadelphia, but a complex and unfamiliar financial system prevents them from truly prospering. In order to facilitate their integration into American society, the Financial Inclusion Coordinator VISTA will help develop and implement interventions with the goals of improving banking access, establishing credit, building savings, and managing money.
Volunteer Platform and Database Coordinator VISTA, Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service
The Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service is tasked with ensuring that volunteer efforts get carried throughout the city of Philadelphia in efficient and effective ways. Part of this work involves creating systems in which various City Departments and organizations are able to serve more Philadelphians while creating a better Philadelphia for all. The Volunteer Platform and Database Coordinator VISTA would build capacity throughout the city by introducing new and innovative ways for managing volunteers, conducting community engagement and analyzing the effectiveness of these tactics.
