Supportive Older Women’s Network  – Deputy Director and Social Worker/Support Group Facilitator

Supportive Older Women’s Network, which champions older women’s issues, is seeking a Deputy Director and a Social Worker/Support Group Facilitator.

The Deputy Director candidate should be a senior level nonprofit professional who wishes to work half time. This position will carry out outcomes performance management, fundraising oversight including work with the board, internal and external branding and messaging and administrative oversight.  Candidates should have a BA/BS with at least 5 years experience or Master’s.  Nonprofit Management experience is a plus.

The Social Worker will be responsible for coordination and implementation of community-based and telephone support groups throughout Philadelphia and will serve as the primary contact person for these groups.  Additional responsibilities include outreach, intake, case management and follow-up consultation. The position will work closely with grandparents raising children and will collaborate with varied aging and children’s services. Candidates for this 20-40 hour position should have a Masters degree in social work or equivalent (License preferred); experience in group work and group process issues; and knowledge of aging and children service network in the region.
