Financial Educator (Chester, PA)
Full time position. Innovative program that promotes economic well-being in low-income families seeks a BS/BA level Financial Educator. You must be comfortable with people, computers and TANF system and have the ability to discuss basic financial planning and budgeting. Must be able to work some evenings and Saturday mornings. Independent transportation required to multiple work sites. Bilingual a plus. 4 year degree required – no exceptions – prefer BSW, background in education, understanding of personal finance, or related field. Counseling experience also preferred. Part-Time Mentoring Coordinator (Philadelphia, PA)
This is a part-time position, 3:00-7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Fridays. Some weekends required. The Mentoring Coordinator will have experience with issues related to older adolescents and will have some knowledge and understanding of volunteer recruitment and retention. The Mentoring Coordinator shall possess the ability to identify with and adapt to the goals and philosophies of the program. We are looking for a mature individual with knowledge of parenting issues, community resources and the skills necessary to live independently. The ability to demonstrate insight, empathy, flexibility, perseverance and team-orientation. A BSW or Bachelor’s degree in related field of study is required. Case Manager – SIL
Provide case management which includes, but is not limited to: coordinating services for clients, locating needed resources and linking clients to them, monitoring how services are being provided, and assessing the quality or services provided. Provide admission and discharge services to clients including ensuring that the apartment is ready for move in; assuring that all necessary furnishings and other entitlements are secured (food, stipend, transpass, supplies, etc.); completing all admission paperwork, and complete all discharge paperwork. Conduct safety visits to assure that the apartments are clean and safe and that clients are maintaining an adequate supply of food and are meeting all other DHS/CYS/PO regulations and guidelines. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years experience providing direct services to individuals and/or families. BSW or Related Bachelor’s Degree required – no exceptions. Case Manager – Center For Families
Delco Group home – Full-time to provide case management. Coordination of mom’s and children’s medical and mental health services. Ability to facilitate children’s after school program. Must have understanding of homelessness and child welfare issues. Knowledge of community resources helpful. Valid driver’s license and independent travel required. BSW or related degree required. Part Time Adult Teacher (Delaware County, PA)
PathWays PA is in need of a teacher to teach adult education (ABE/GED). Classes will be held in the evenings in Delaware County. Pay is competitive. Intern for School Youth Program (Delaware County, PA)
PathWays PA is currently recruiting a graduate level student-intern to assist with a year round program for low-income high school students. The candidate will provide mentoring and academic support to students during summer internships and throughout the school year. Daily responsibilities include program planning, case management, workshop facilitation, creative problem solving, and program reporting. The ideal candidate is creative, flexible, mature, responsible, has a passion for working with youth, and is currently enrolled in a graduate level social work or related program. PathWays PA needs a caring and motivated individuals to provide support and supervision for our Delaware County group home serving women and children; HS/GED, Associates Degree and experience preferred. 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and alternate weekends. Front Desk Receptionist (Volunteer Positions) – Holmes, PA
PathWays PA, a non-profit social service agency, is seeking volunteers to help us cover our front desk in Holmes, PA (Delaware County). Our agency helps low income women and children achieve self sufficiency through a variety of programs and educational classes. Public transportation is easily accessible. Answer phones, greet those that come in, help with copies and other light office work. Hours needing coverage are Monday – Friday – varying hours. Great office experience for someone out of school, between jobs, or perhaps retired and would like to help out in some way. Background checks are required for all volunteers.
