Various Marketing and Management internships, ArtSphere Inc

Art Sphere Incorporated, a small volunteer based 501 C-3 non-profit was established in 1998 to offer a range of art education programs to underserved Philadelphia youths as well as teachers and community members.
Art Sphere Incorporated offers the following internships.
Marketing Collateral
? Help develop brochures describing Art Sphere Incorporated activities.
? Create handouts/one page flyers for major projects listing deliverables such as curriculum development, art exchanges, art workshops, and mural projects.
? Rewrite mission statement and company background.
? Develop a marketing campaign for corporate sponsorship of ASI via art purchases similar to Catalyst Solutions Sponsorship and contact local companies to determine interest.
Marketing Research
? Create a survey requesting information on the organization?s needs as related to ASI?s areas of expertise.
? Develop a list for people to contact with survey; i.e. community centers, schools, day care centers with contact person, phone numbers, address, email.
? Enter data on MS Access data base.
? Send out the survey.
? Tabulate results and produce analysis of organization?s interests and make recommendations as to products and services that ASI could offer to better serve its constituency.
? Follow up on non-respondents.
Marketing Communication (Marcom)
? Develop list of media and PR resources, contact information, and make available on MS Access data base.
? Develop list of media and PR requirements for press releases and notices.
? Contact above for possible articles or reports on ASI and the community.
? Write model press releases for ASI to send to above organizations for announcement of projects, volunteer requests, and events.
? Develop model letters for request for collaboration projects with corporations and other non-profits.
Operations management
? Organize the logistics of an ASI sponsored events (TBD). This would consist of site and facilities requirements, media contacts, refreshments, and PR.
? Develop proposal for ASI to sell ASI produced art, postcards, holiday cards via e-commerce and traditional channels.
Grants and Fundraising
? Perform marketing research to determine major non-profit funding organizations related to art and health education. Research city, state, and federal agencies or non-governmental organizations.
? From that information contact the organizations.
? Find out what grants are available, application deadlines, and obtain requirements and application forms.
? Create a timeline with information collected.
? Make recommendations as to which grants and organizations best match ASI.
? Research and write grants for specific programs.
? Contact fundraising organizations, collect proposals and make recommendations for selection of fundraiser.
MIS
? Review current MIS procedures and make recommendations including back ups and disaster recovery.
? Simply e-mail and postal mailing list management.
? Establish archiving and metadata management for images, video, sound; ie, media management.
? Create small inventory database. and reports in MS Access for tracking supplies (paint, brushes, paper, publications, and literature) at studio and project site.
Accounting
? Review current Quikbooks software configuration.
? Make recommendations on Chart of Accounts appropriate to non-profit organization.
? Develop canned reports for reporting to Board of Directors.
? Review and recommend accounting procedures for ASI.
? Review and recommend additional software if needed to assist ASI.
? Develop Excel spreadsheets to analyze donor revenue and grant fund management.
