Leadership Montco continues advanced workshop series

Leadership Montgomery County will sponsor the second in its Advanced Leadership Workshop Series, Abstract to Concrete: Using Visual Strategies to Better Communicate Change, Innovation and Other Complex Messages, on Thursday, February 4th.

Communication between someone with specialized knowledge and someone without that knowledge is often difficult and can result in confusion rather than clarity. Why? Because it is not easy to convert the complexities of specialized knowledge for those who do not share a similar background.

In this hands-on, visually-stimulating workshop, participants will learn practical and effective visual strategies. These strategies can be applied immediately allowing participants to better persuade and influence others.

By adding practical visual strategies to one’s communication toolbox, those with specialized knowledge can learn to convey important messages in a more concise, clear, and concrete manner.

The workshop will be led by Paul Hilt of Hilt & Associates, who is known for his innovative Wind-At-Your-Back Process, an approach that enables individuals to dramatically increase the amount of time they operate at their very best.

The event, supported by United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, and the Prudential Foundation, will take place from 8:30am to12:30pm at the Willow Grove Community Center at the Giant Super Food Store, 315 York Road in Willow Grove.  The cost is $49 for LMC alumni, $59 for EMCCC members, and $69 for others.
