All Join Hands: The Visions of Peace Project
The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program is launching All Join Hands: The Visions of Peace Project. This project will be similar to the Healing Walls project, in which victims of crime, victims? advocates, and inmates came together to create a mural about the impact and consequences of crime. Through the process of creating a large-scale mural and other related art projects, All Join Hands will raise awareness about the prevalence of youth violence, investigate causes of violent behavior, and foster learning about solutions.
Come to the community meeting and share your ideas about the problem of juvenile violence ? its causes, consequences and solutions.
This citywide initiative is sponsored by the School District of Philadelphia, the Department of Human Services and the Philadelphia Inquirer
