About UrbanPromise:
The mission of UrbanPromise is to equip children and young adults with the skills necessary for spiritual growth, academic achievement, life management and Christian leadership. UrbanPromise has been working with youth in the Camden, NJ area for the past 15 years. Current programs include several AfterSchool Programs and Summer Camps, the StreetLeader Program (a job training, education and Christian leadership program for high school students), the UrbanPromise Academy (a home-school model, alternative high school), the CamdenForward School (an elementary school), the Intern Program (an educational and urban ministry training program for young adults from around the world), and PrintWorks (a job training and economic development screen printing business).

Job Training Coordinator
Primary responsibilities are:
– to lead staff to oversee recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, evaluations, disciplinary procedures and firing for all StreetLeaders and SL Leadership,
– to organize, oversee and participate in the StreetLeader Retreat and other special events in the Children and Youth Ministry Department,
– to provide other job and life-skill training opportunities for SL?s,
– to work with other staff to help direct students through the college application process,
– to work with other staff to help coordinate educational and spiritual development activities.

This position reports to the Children and Youth Ministries Director.

Job Site Coordinator
Primary responsibilities are to help train and support the 50 to 75 local teens working in the StreetLeader Program,
– to visit the AfterSchool Program and Summer Camp sites each week,
– to mentor peer leaders in supervision, discipline and training of StreetLeaders,
– to help coordinate the weekly evening tutoring program and the weekly youth group,
– to assist in other special events throughout the year.
This position reports to the Children and Youth Ministries Director.

Christian Development Coordinator
Primary responsibilities are to lead a team of staff, interns and local volunteers in running youth group activities including outreach, teaching, worship, service and social opportunities,
– to organize several special events and retreats throughout the year,
– to recruit, train and supervise adults to disciple individual youth or small groups,
– to lead one or two discipleship groups,
– to work closely with StreetLeader and AfterSchool Program staff to maintain contact with kids and coordinate activities.
This position reports to the Children and Youth Ministries Director.
