Urban Tree Connection’s Breaking Ground Event – Mar 20-23 & 27-30

The Urban Tree Connection (UTC) has been busy planning how we will continue to connect and build relationships with our community in the 2023 growing season. We’re very excited to invite you to our upcoming Breaking Ground event in March! This is a two-week event focused on preparing UTC’s Neighborhood Foods Farm for Spring while also building relationships and comradery. It will be held on March 20-23 and 27-30 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Neighborhood Foods Farm (608 N. 53rd St).
What We’ll Do:
- Turning the soil
- Soil amendment
- Irrigation set up
- Taking Inventory
- Building rituals
What We’ll Learn: More about how to establish a farm for a fruitful and balanced growing period
