The Enterprise Center Community Development Corporation (TEC-CDC) is a neighborhood-based nonprofit
organization in West Philadelphia founded in 2001 by The Enterprise Center, a respected minority business accelerator.
West Philly Foods is TEC-CDC’s local food system initiative which includes the Dorrance H. Hamilton Center for Culinary
Enterprises, a fully functional urban farm and greenhouse, an aggregation-type CSA, and farmer’s market operations. The
West Philly Foods project connects residents to where their food comes from; creates new local sources of fresh produce;
as well as connects both urban and rural farmers to the West Philadelphia market. The project strives to improve quality
and access to healthy foods for residents living in the area.

The Urban Farm and CSA Manager will be responsible for the following:
• Day-to-day management of the urban farm including bed preparation, planting, weeding, watering, harvesting, and other
farming tasks
• Crop planning for new seasons
• Preparing farm for winter season
• Assisting in managing a small greenhouse and seedling production
• Manage community and volunteer programming on site at the farm
• Maintaining a neat and orderly site for all visitors
• Managing the Walnut Hill Community Garden program
• Management of the West Philly Foods CSA program which runs from May-October
• Coordination of weekly produce pick-up and deliveries from farm and distribution partners
• Management of weekly CSA boxing and delivery to member pick-up locations

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelors Degree (in Horticulture, Agriculture or related field is preferable)
• At least 1-2 seasons of production experience (apprenticeship, etc.)
• Current drivers license
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
• Ability to plan, delegate and organize work tasks
• Willing to work a flexible schedule
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a variety of people
and personalities; ability to communicate clearly in person and in writing
• Customer service skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
