Upcoming 2020 Senior Corps FGP-SCP Replacement Sponsor Competition Technical Assistance Webinars

During the month of November, CNCS will host a series of technical assistance webinars to answer questions about the 2020 Foster Grandparent Program (FGP)-Senior Companion Program (SCP) Replacement Sponsor Competition. The webinars will explain how the competition works–including topics such as performance measures, available funding opportunities, eGrants, and more–and help you get to know FGP and SCP better. CNCS strongly encourages all interested applicants to participate in these sessions. Session descriptions, dates, and registration links can be found below.
Technical Assistance Schedule
Session 1: Introducing the FGP-SCP Competition

This webinar will briefly introduce these two programs, before reviewing how the competition works, including highlighting some key components of the Notice of Funding Opportunity.
Session 2: The Foster Grandparent Program
Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019

This webinar will explain the FGP program in depth, including spotlighting the kinds of activities volunteers may engage in, performance measure requirements and specific aspects of program management and compliance applicants will need to understand in their application.
Session 3: The Senior Companion Program

This webinar will explain the SCP program in depth, including spotlighting the kinds of activities volunteers may engage in, performance measure requirements and specific aspects of program management and compliance applicants will need to understand in their application.
Session 4: Submitting Your Application in eGrants
Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019
3:30 p.m. ET
This webinar will walk through eGrants, CNCS’ electronic grants management system step-by-step.
As a reminder, the Notice of Funding Opportunities and specific geographic service areas can be found at the FGP-SCP NOFO page of the CNCS website. Please see the 2020 FGP and SCP Replacement Sponsor Competition website for a full list of the available opportunities.
Applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. ET, Friday, Dec. 6, 2019. Successful applicants will be notified prior to the official project start date listed in Appendix A.
