Have you ever felt guilty for not “practicing self-care” enough? Do you wonder what “self-care” means exactly? We will explore the possibilities and limitations of the concept of “self-care,” and ask what would happen if we broadened our vision for self-care to acknowledge how we move through the world based on our race, gender and other identities. In addition to expanding our concept of self-care, we will practice some quick and easy self-care activities, and develop a personalized self-care plan. New and experienced social workers, social service workers, nurses, teachers, and other caring professionals welcome!
