University-Assisted Community Schools Fellow

Join the Netter Center as a University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) Fellow and be part of a team that is a national leader in university-community partnerships, the community schools movement, and University-Assisted Community Schools.

The Netter Center’s University-Assisted Community Schools strategy was built with school and community partners.  UACS educate, engage, empower, and serve all members of the community in which the school is located. UACS engage students (K-16+) in real world, community problem solving. This work serves as a model for other higher education institutions across the United States and around the world.

The UACS Fellowship is full-time opportunity through Penn’s Netter Center for upcoming or recent graduates.  The positions will start this summer and will be one-year appointments, with possibility for one-year renewal  UACS Fellows help implement both new and existing programming.

UACS programming includes health and wellness, STEAM education, arts, culture and humanities, anti-violence, fitness and sports, college access and career readiness, and more. The UACS Fellow will take part in, and lead, initiatives that will make a positive change in both the West Philadelphia and the Penn communities.
