UWSEPA to launch funding process in October
United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania has announced the October 2010 launch of its online application process for the next three year investment cycle. Applicants selected to receive funding will be notified in May 2011 for the funding cycle beginning July 1, 2011.
United Way’s investment process is driven by the goals outlined in the Community Impact Agenda and is an open and competitive model that places a strong emphasis on outcomes and accountability. This year’s application process will feature an easy to use prescreening tool to help agencies evaluate their alignment with UWSEPA’s investment priorities and possible likelihood of qualifying for funding prior to completing the full application.
United Way has a strong tradition of evolving to meet community needs.
“We realize that our community deserves the greatest possible return on the investment they make with us,” said Ann Schmieg, Senior Vice President for Community Impact. “We also know that we are uniquely positioned to be the catalyst that unites resources in our community – people, talent, dollars, knowledge – to advance our goals of education for children, income for families and healthy aging at home for seniors.”
More information on the application process will be available in the coming weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and other information for potential applicants on how to sign up this fall for forums and webinars on the process will be posted and updated regularly on the United Way website here.
