Building Community, Building Bridges:
urban studies, engaged scholarship, thoughtful activism
Friday, April 29th
8:30 AM-5:30 PM
Temple University
This one day undergraduate urban research conference will focus on the theme of an Urban Studies agenda that includes both active engagement and reflection. The goal of the conference is to bridge the gap between undergraduate academic work at Temple University and the wider network of scholars, activists, community members, and government officials engaged in the work of building communities.
Topics addressed will include uneven development in housing, community economic development and race and gender in Philadelphia.
The following are generously cosponsoring the event:
Associate Dean Richard Joslin, Director of Undergraduate Affairs Angela Scott
