to celebrate the conclusion of UCCP’s most ambitious Summer Academy to date.
This summer we have supported over 90 Philadelphia youth in developing social change campaigns, curating their communities, creating powerful media projects and becoming confident, effective leaders. Help us honor their hard work, creativity and accomplishments at one or ALL of our final events!

VOICES 1.0 Project Showcase

Enjoy engaging films and presentations by the new VOICES 1.0 participants who chose to explore the many dimensions of “Addiction” and “Abuse.”

“Greetings from Philadelphia”
Temple Gallery, Tyler School of Art, 11th & Norris
Immediately following the VOICES 1.0 presentation, join us for a reception at the new Temple Gallery for an exhibit of Southwest and North Philadelphia neighborhoods as curated by youth from those communities. The show includes painting, photography, video and sculpture. Also premiering will be a short documentary about gun violence in Philadelphia created with the help of the victims themselves.
The University Community Collaborative of Philadelphia prepares and supports youth and young adults to become confident effective leaders and collaborates with organizations to create cultures that value and integrate the contributions of youth. UCCP’s Temple Youth VOICES Project empowers youth to use their VOICE for positive social change. It aims to build the individual and collective power of youth through collaborative research, media production and relationship building with non-profit organizations and government agencies.
