Girard College is seeking enthusiastic individuals to tutor upper school private boarding school students during study hall.
Monday & Wednesdays and/or Tuesday & Thursdays
Girard needs volunteers to:
– Help students for 1 hour an evening with homework in various subjects
– Preparing activities to strengthen skills in classroom related material
– Reviewing weekly class objectives provided by teachers
– Submitting weekly tutorial summaries for students’ records
Girard College will pay for the required documents and results:
– A current (less than 1 year old) FBI clearance
– A Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
– A Criminal Record Check from Pennsylvania State Police (Act 34)
– Pass the National Child Abuse Offenders List
– Pass general drug screening

Tutoring or teaching experience is preferred, but not required.

Grade Levels: 7-12, Subjects: Sciences, Math, Language Arts, History, etc.
