Tuition waivers at Community College for laid-off workers

Community College of Philadelphia’s “Opportunity Now” Program is a tuition-free opportunity for laid off Philadelphians. “Opportunity Now” applies to Philadelphia residents who have been laid off permanently or indefinitely from a full-time, non-seasonal position between September 1, 2001 and September 1, 2004. Tuition will be waived for up to 12 credits for one semester in calendar year 2003-2004. For more information, you can go the website at
