Tsunami Fund Raiser
Friends, you can help us. On Saturday, March 12th, we, Simon Gratz High School students, will be conducting a fund raising event in the CCC auditorium, at Gratz, from 9:00AM until 12:00PM.
Please join us. Please attend this event and bring your friends, neighbors and family members.
We’ll be providing live entertainment, and selling handcrafted items, used books, food, and jewelry.
Professional quality photographs will be taken and sold right on the site.
The famous local writer, *Solomon Jones*, will be there too! He’ll be selling and signing copies of his books as well as talking about the art of writing.
You can help us by donating any of the following:
* Something you have made or purchased like:
o A handcrafted item, either functional or decorative that we can sell. (Knitted items, Dried flower arrangements, Soaps, Candles, Accessories, and all other handmade items)
o Prepackaged cakes, cookies, cupcakes, candy that we can sell.
o A used book that we can sell.
o Any inexpensive jewelry that we can sell.
All proceeds will be donated to the agencies, /Action Against Hunger and American Red Cross, /which benefit Tsunami victims. The students who volunteered to help with this project voted and selected these two agencies from a large list of options.
We would really appreciate your help with this Tsunami fund-raiser.
Please give your donated item(s) to the Gratz, Youth Driven service Learning Center in room 418 at Simon Gratz High School, (215) 227-4518.
Please tell other people who you know about this opportunity to help others by donating items or by attending the event.
