Recent focus on the quality of drinking water in cities like Flint, or near military installations like Willow Grove Air Force Base have stirred discussion on the responsibility of government regulators to ensure clean water and protect public health.
President Trump is committed to eliminating the Waters of the U.S. Rule, which outlines federally protected waterways. Critics of the rule say it is too inclusive and would hamper development and hurt farmers. Environmentalists say the rule is necessary to safeguard our ecosystems and drinking water.
