Posted by University of Pennsylvania on April 13, 2015
The TRIO Veterans Upward Bound Program at the University of Pennsylvania (http://www.vpul.upenn.edu/eap/vub/) offers FREE intensive pre-college courses to eligible veterans who are interested in furthering their education in order to enhance their career opportunities! All books and supplies are provided as well as all of the necessary support for the veteran to enroll successfully into any college of his/her choice.
We offer three semesters a year: Summer: May-August; Fall: September-December; Spring: January-April. We are accepting applications NOW!!! Have ALL interested veterans call the VUB office at 215-898-6892! They can begin Math Boot Camp NOW!!!
FACT – Career Choices and Income INCREASES as Education Levels Increase!
FACT – Many recently separated veterans who have the Post 9/11 GI Bill are enrolling in college (or any other educational program) and are academically underprepared. Before they use their GI Bill they need to attend VUB – if even for only one semester (15 weeks) to boost their ability to be successful in whatever educational program they choose at any academic agency or institution of their choice! Otherwise they may end up dropping out and have to pay all of those GI Funds back before being able to use them again – and we all know that our veterans may never end up going back to school if they are discouraged about their initial academic experience.
FACT – VUB WILL put a veteran in contact with your agency should they need your services!
FACT – I, Diane Sandefur, am happy to come to your agency and speak with you and your staff and/or veterans! Please call – 215-898-6892 to arrange a visit!!!
