Summary: Part-time professional position responsible for the local implementation of an innovative, 3-year dissemination project, in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania and Arcadia University, designed to increase the graduate school attendance of low-income, first generation, and under-represented students.
Specific Duties:
<li> Works closely with project coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania to design and implement project on USP campus in compliance with federal guidelines.
<li> Plans, implements, and evaluates 4-week summer research institute,
including hiring personnel, logistical planning, and curriculum development.
<li> Recruits and works closely with faculty mentors.
<li> Recruits students who will participate in program.
<li> Assists in the identification of summer research internship opportunities with assistance of faculty mentors and University of Pennsylvania McNair program staff.
<li> Designs USP web page for project in coordination with PHEAA representative.
<li> Develops systematic data collection procedures for monitoring student progress and program evaluation.
<li> Compiles and analyzes data for preparation of semi-annual and annual reports.
<li> Attends conferences, workshops, and meetings as required.
<li> Communicates with campus personnel to update them on status of project.
Qualifications:
<li> Master?s degree in related field
<li> Experience with grant funded, federal or state academic support programs highly desirable
<li> Strong organizational and communication skills
<li> Prior experience in higher education a plus
<li> Must be self-initiating, highly motivated, and committed to diversity
