Tri-State Parent Power Fair

The Tri-State Parent Power Fair will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2005 from 9am to 5:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Penns Landing, 201 S. Columbus Blvd., in Philadelphia. October 8th has been proclaimed Parent Power Day by Mayor Street.
Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Parent Information and Resource Center and other groups, the fair will feature educational resources that promote academic achievement. Representatives from the state Dept. of Education and a number of parent involvement groups will be on hand to answer questions.
In addition to lots of information exhibits, the fair will also feature panel discussions, and interactive workstations on such topics as:
Child development
No Child Left Behind
School Accountability
Special Education
Tutoring and After School
Extracurricular Activities
Dynamic Parenting
Parent, Faith and Community Organizations
Life Long Learning
The event is free and lunch is included but you have to register in one of the following ways:
