TreeVitalize Neighborhood Tree Planting
Saturday, April 14, 10 am ? l pm
Meeting location: Meet at Malcolm X Park, on Larchwood Ave. between S. 51st & 52nd Sts. (just south of Pine St.)
UC Green, neighbors and local Tree Tenders will plant 50 trees in Cedar Park, West Philadelphia with community support. Volunteers are needed. All plantings are rain or shine. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Project organizers will provide gloves and tools. Large trees are 10 to 14 foot tall trees with soil ball that weigh 200+ lbs and are planted in 3-4 person teams. For more information, contact Winnie Harris at wharris@ucgreen.org or (215) 573-4684
