TreePhilly is the Community Forestry program of Philadelphia Parks & Recreation. We empower Philadelphia community members to enrich life in their neighborhoods through the planting, care of and connection with trees. Founded in 2011, TreePhilly works to plant and care for an equitable tree canopy for all residents by providing free, accessible educational and material resources as well as nurturing relationships between neighbors, institutions and the land we live on. In all our work, we strive to follow the principles and practices of environmental justice.
To date, TreePhilly has provided over 21,500 trees and is working toward 30% tree canopy coverage in every neighborhood.
