Tree Tending Workshop

When: Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, 6 – 8 p.m.
Where: PHS, 100 N. 20th Street (20th and Arch Streets), 5th floor
What: Learn about
* inventorying resources in your neighborhood to support your tree tending efforts with some testimonials from Philadelphia Tree Tender groups that have forged some surprising and successful partnerships
* the latest research on the many and diverse benefits of trees in urban environments, including commercial locations
* computer software to maximize your tree planting advocacy
* addressing the so-called tree/home sewer “conflict”
* working with the local media, volunteer organizing and fund-raising for trees
* building your local tree tender numbers and refreshing the group
The program is free to Tree Tender graduates, pizza will be served and you may register with Dawn Waters by emailing her at [email protected] or (215) 988-8845 before Friday, November 11.
