1) Waning Full Moon Tree Walk in the Wissahickon with arborist Ken LeRoy
Friday September 12th 7pm – 9pm
Meeting at Bells Mill and Forbidden Dr.
Ken LeRoy a board member of Friends of the Wissahickon specializes in Trees of the Philadelphia Area. The walk will lead us through the Wissahickon woods to Houston Meadow an unusual upland sandy ecosystem. with uncommon species including the native Gray birch and quaking Aspen.

2) Tree Farm Tour
Wednesday, September 17th 6:30-8:30pm
Philadelphia Green City Gardening Series
Tim DeVaney’s “Tree The Streets” program in Ridley Park, is a wonderful source of container grown trees for Tree Tenders an other Philadelphians. Visit the farm, see the trees and learn how a container tree farm operates.
