Trauma 102: Basic Skills of Trauma-Informed Care
Posted by MENTOR Independence Region on May 7, 2018
Join MENTOR Independence Region for a FREE Trauma 102: Basic Skills of Trauma-Informed Care training by Lakeside Global Institute. This event is made possible with the generous support of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
Building on information provided in the recent March 15 Trauma 101 & Mentoring training, mentors will expand their understanding of trauma and will be provided specific skills that enhance abilities to interact in emotionally and relationally healthy ways with people impacted by trauma. As mentors become trauma-aware, they have a responsibility to prevent, avoid, and respond to trauma. In this hands-on, interactive workshop, mentors will be provided opportunities to implement and practice the skills presented.
