Project Director – Transition Pathways
Exciting opportunity to manage the new Transition Pathways initiative at the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute’s (AJDAI) Life Course Outcomes research program (LCO). Founded in 2012, AJDAI is a research institute emphasizing public health and policy aspects of autism spectrum disorders. The Life Course Outcomes program is discovering strategies, beyond clinical interventions, that promote positive outcomes and prevent negative ones for people affected by autism and related conditions. Transition Pathways, a project of LCO, is an “innovation incubator” intended to implement and pilot test a wide range of community-based, replicable approaches for helping neurodiverse youth transition successfully to young adulthood.
Qualifications, Minimum:
• At least 6 years of steadily increasing responsibility planning, negotiating and managing community service programs that involve complex funding streams, collaborative interagency relationships, marketing, public relations and communications and brand management.
• Bachelors degree in a relevant field required.
• Strong organizational skills and abilities to collaborate effectively with others.
• Outstanding written and oral communication abilities including a record of accomplishment of writing successful funding proposals.
• At least 4 years of experience managing program performance measurement and continuous program improvement practices.
• Some familiarity with the features and intervention approaches for neurodiverse conditions such as autism, learning disabilities or developmental disabilities.
Qualifications, Preferred:
• Advanced training and expertise regarding autism, learning disabilities and other neurodiverse conditions.
• Advanced training or educational degree in management, business, administration or related field.
• Masters degree preferred, from a relevant field.
