Philabundance Community Kitchen
We are a Culinary Arts Job training program for low-to-no income adults. We offer the opportunity for our student to become ServSafe certified. This is a nationally recognized certification.
The training we offer is a free 15 week job training experience second to none. We consider our training approach to be student centered. That means we realize that the population we serve need tangible trade skills but more importantly they need the soft skills of managing their lives effectively that affords them an opportunity to obtain and sustain gainful employment. With our culinary arts training we offer Life Skills, Employability Skills, Math classes, Job Placement and Retention. We work with our graduates for at least a year after graduation.
Our program has an 84% job placement rating, our graduates average pay rate is $8-9/hour. While in the program our students do a 2 week internship. A lot of our students get hired from this experience we like to call the 2 week interview.
We are currently recruiting for our next class that begins February 6, 2006. If there is anyone reading this correspondence and has any inquires, please feel free to contact me:
