Training Conf for Campus Compact VISTAs

* Are you looking for new ideas to implement at your campus?
* Are you looking for opportunities to discuss ways to improve your campus? programs and activities?
* Are you looking for a chance to speak with other VISTA Volunteers working on similar programs?
You are invited to participate in a great conference opportunity for Campus Compact VISTAs being held at Grand View College in Des Moines, Iowa. The conference will be Friday, July 18th until Sunday, July 20th. The conference costs only $75.00, and will be an opportunity to discuss many topics, including:
Grant Writing & Applications
Evaluating Programs Effective Classroom Practices
Working with Faculty
Bridging Student Activities & Academics
Living Learning Communities
Alternative Spring Break planning
Connecting with students
Working with local organizations
Navigating campus bureaucracy
New ideas from other campuses
Working with student organizations/student government
Problem Solving Group (bring your issues!!!)
This will be a ?no-frills? event that focuses on networking and exchanging ideas. The $75.00 covers the cost of lodging and linen service for the weekend in the residence halls of Grand View College. A CLOSING LUNCHEON will also be provided on Sunday, July 20th for all the participants.
