Building Strong Community Partnerships
Building Strong Community Partnerships is a training opportunity sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Center for Schools and Communities for afterschool program staff, site coordinators and project directors from Bucks, Delaware, Chester and Montgomery Counties.
The training will focus on developing systems that promote collaboration between communities and schools. Workshop topics will include:
* Behavior Management
* Orientation and Training for Volunteers
* Building an Effective Community/School Partnerships
* Parent Engagement
Date: September 22, 2006
The training will begin with Registration and a continental breakfast from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m at the Sheraton Park Ridge in King of Prussia, PA (see details below). There will be a general session in the morning and several concurrent workshop sessions during the afternoon. The training will conclude at 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Act 48 credits will be available. The deadline for this registration is September 15, 2006. There is no registration fee to attend.
