Kessler Foundation Invites Applications for Traditional Community Employment Grant
The Kessler Foundation is a public charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
To that end, the foundation is accepting applications for its Traditional Community Employment Grants program, which supports solutions focused on increasing employment and career opportunities for New Jersey residents with disabilities. Priority areas of interest include transition-to-work for youth and adults, employment-related transportation issues, vocational training, workplace preparation, and strategies to support the recruitment, hiring, placement, and retention of individuals with disabilities.
Any organization that serves New Jersey residents and is recognized as a tax-exempt entity according to the Internal Revenue Code may apply for funding. This includes nonprofit agencies, public or private schools, and public institutions such as universities and governmental entities. Preference will be given to organizations employing a large number of staff members self-identifying as having a disability.
Grant amounts will range between $25,000 and $50,000. Organizations may apply for indirect costs of up to 8 percent in their project budgets. There is no matching grant requirement.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Kessler Foundation website.
Deadline: April 9, 2018
