July 16 Webinar–Toward Economic Security: Understanding the Power of the Stigma of Poverty in Efforts to Promote Opportunity and Equity
Psychological research demonstrates that the stigma of poverty leads to exclusion, disconnecting people from one another and undermining opportunity and mobility for all. This stigma also affects public opinion and policy. Metrics Matter, an initiative of the Insight Center for Community Economic Development, will host a webinar to discuss the power of this stigma and how understanding its psychological effects can inform our policy design and improve efforts to advance economic security. The webinar will be held from 1-2 p.m. EDT. Click here to register.
