Since its inception our website has hosted an electronic version of “Fostering Sustainable Behavior: An Introduction to Community-Based Social Marketing.” This book provides an overview of how community-based social marketing can be used to promote a wide variety of sustainable behaviors such as recycling, reduced water use, and bus ridership. If you haven’t yet read this book, click on the “guide” tab to access it from anywhere within the website.
“Fostering Sustainable Behavior” has a companion workbook which is available as a free download from our website (35MB). “Tools of Change: Proven Methods for Promoting Environmental Citizenship,” co-authored by Jay Kassirer and Doug McKenzie-Mohr, provides a step-by-step guide to the use of community-based social marketing as well as a number of in-depth case studies. Simply click on the link below to access the workbook.
