From collaborative research to community-based research: A methodological toolkit
http://www.coalitionplus.org/images/PDF/guidegb.pdf
Entitled “From collaborative research to community-based research: a methodological toolkit” and published in the ANRS collection “Sciences sociales et sida”, this novel toolkit contributes to the sharing of experiences and reflection on the development of a research study in its most practical aspects. This innovative methodological toolkit, grounded in community-based research – a kind of research which is guided by the needs of communities, which solves problems encountered in the field through practical interventions, and which holds community participation and collaboration as core principles – is not only a valuable tool for all those already engaged in collaborative research studies, but will also stimulate interest in those who have not yet had experience in such research, be they researchers, clinicians or community front-line workers.
