To Kneel or Not To Kneel: Sports, Activism, and Social Justice

Join the Rutgers University-Camden School of Social Work and the Campus Center as they host a panel discussion about the kneeling of Colin Kaepernick during the National Anthem and how it has brought attention of activism to the forefront of the sports world and how it affects the world as we know it! We’ll be looking to interrogate questions including:
- Who can be an activist?
- Are there appropriate and inapproriate times to protest?
- What has been the history of protest and activism in modern sports?
Panelists will include Coach Preston Brown (Woodrow Wilson High School), Lorraine Howard (School of Social Work), student-athletes and will be moderated by Natalie Moore-Bembry (School of Social Work).
