Third Annual Sports Symposium-At Eastern University
“Sports and Social Entrepreneurship Symposium”
When: March 9th, 8:30Am – 4:00PM
Where: Eastern University, 1330 Eagle Road, St Davids, PA 19087
Social entrepreneurship is a movement that helps corporations focus not just on profits, but also on the needs of the people in the communities they serve. In the past decade, such ventures have started using sports as the doorway into these communities. Join us on March 9th to learn how the power of sports is used to redeem communities and launch microenterprises, education programs, and other development initiatives in impoverished communities in American cities and around the world.
Some of our featured speakers and panelists include Mr. Robert Brown, VP and CFO of the New York Yankees; Dr. Sarah HIllyer, University of Tennessee, Sports for Peace; Dr. Howard Stephenson, University of Pennsylvania School of Education; Dr. Ed Hastings, Neumann University; Mr. Jim Brit, COO Ed Snyder Youth Hockey Foundation; Prof, JoAnn Flett, Eastern University; Ms. Seren Fryatt, founder of L.A.C.E.S.
This event is free but requires registration. Please register at www.eastern.edu/sportssymposium
